Acerca del autor

Dasso Saldívar, nacido en San Julián, Antioquia, Colombia, en 1951, estudió Sociología y Ciencias Políticas en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, ciudad en la que reside. Ha ejercido el periodismo y la crítica literaria en diversos periódicos y revistas de Europa y América, como El viejo Topo, El País, El Paseante, El Espectador, Cuadernos Americanos y Afrique-Asie. Ha sido redactor de programas culturales de Televisión Española y fue cofundador de la revista Margen. En 1981 ganó el Premio Jauja de Cuentos y el Ministerio de Cultura de China le otorgó en 2002 el Premio Nacional a la Excelencia Literaria Extranjera en Versión China por García Márquez: El viaje a la semilla. Es autor del poemario Voces del barro y del libro XIX del siglo XX, sobre escritores colombianos. Actualmente trabaja en varias novelas, y, tras concluir Los soles de Amalfi, ha retomado La subasta del fuego, una recreación poética sob
