Thematisch wie inhaltlich folgt man ihm dabei über längere Strecken auf ungewohntes Terrain. Mit widerborstigem Spaß bürstet er wohlbekannte Überzeugungen, Moralvorstellungen und Benimm-Regeln gegen den Strich, und bleibt dabei dem Menschlichen auf der Spur. Es ist ein Buch voller durchtriebenem Ulk, dessen Hintersinn sich nicht selten erst im Nachschmecken entfaltet. Es macht auch nicht Halt vor abartigen und anrüchigen Themen, um die man gewöhnlich einen anständigen Bogen macht. Im Gegenteil, es sucht sie auf - im Verdacht, dass die Schattenseiten des Lebens nicht nur genauso wichtig sind wie seine sonnigen. Sondern dass sich in ihnen die Seele des Menschen offener und ungeschützter zeigt - menschlich eben.
