Forschungsarbeit aus dem Jahr 2022 im Fachbereich Führung und Personal - Generation Y, Generation Z, Note: 89 Punkte / 100 Punkten, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Ziel der empirischen Arbeit ist, mit Hilfe von Literaturrecherche und Datenerhebung herauszufinden, wie verschiedene Generationen im Arbeitsmarkt motiviert werden können und was ihre Anforderungen sind. Weiterhin stellt sich die Frage, wie stark sich die Generationen in diesen Merkmalen voneinander abgrenzen. Auf dem derzeitigen Arbeitsmarkt befinden sich vier unterschiedliche Generationen, mit unterschiedlichen Werten, Motivationen und Erwartungen. Darunter fallen die Generationen Baby Boomer, die Generation X, die Generation Y, sowie die Generation Z. In dieser Arbeit beschäftigen wir uns ausschließlich mit den ersten drei Generationen, da die Generation Z zur Zeit zwischen 12 und 26 Jahren ist, also sich erst seit kurzem oder noch gar nicht auf dem Arbeitsmarkt befindet. In den meisten Unternehmen ist eine große Auswahl an qualifizierten und motivierten Mitarbeitern ausschlaggebend für den Erfolg, weshalb diese stets versuchen sich an die Bedürfnisse und Erwartungen ihrer Mitarbeiter anzupassen. Ein weiterer Grund warum die Mitarbeitermotivation an Popularität gewinnt, ist der demographische Wandel. Laut der Bundesagentur für Arbeit besteht in Deutschland ein beträchtlicher Mangel an Arbeitskräften, primär an ausgebildete Fachkräfte. Insgesamt werden derzeit ca. 1,2 Millionen Arbeitskräfte gesucht. Folglich stehen gut ausgebildeten Schülern und Studenten eine größere Auswahl an Arbeitsplätzen gegenüber als zu vor. Durch diesen Wandel entwickelt sich der Arbeitgebermarkt immer stärker zu einem Arbeitnehmermarkt, in dem die Unternehmen um passendes Personal konkurrieren müssen. Demzufolge sind Informationen über die Anforderungen und Motive der Mitarbeiter aus Sicht der Arbeitgeber von besonderer Bedeutung.
