Das letzte Kapitel un serer Untersuchung ging von sechs Fragen aus: (1) Worin besteht fUr Schiller das Problem der Autonomie der Kunst? (2) Vor welchem Hintergrund stellt sich dieses Problem? (3) In welchem theoretischen Rahmen versucht es Schiller zu losen? (4) Wie laBt sich das Problem der Kunstautonomie systemtheoretisch verstehen? (5) In welcher Weise mussen Schillers asthetische Grundbegriffe refor- muliert werden, wenn man das systemtheoretische Verstandnis dieses Problems zugrunde legt? (6) Wie verhalten sich die Theorie der asthetischen Erziehung und die Theorie der Kunstautonomie zueinander? (1) Das Problem der Kunstautonomie entsteht dadurch, daB die Kunst einerseits als Mittel der Erziehung, andererseits als ein selbstan- diger Zweck behandelt wird. Unterwirft man die Kunst auBeren Zwecken, so hebt man ihre Eigengesetzlichkeit auf oder schrankt sie wenigstens ein. Befreit man sie von auBeren Zwecken und setzt sie mit dem zweckfreien Schonen gleich, dann macht man sie zum folgenlosen und bedeutungslosen GenuB. Das Problem der Kunstauto- nomie besteht demnach in der Frage: Wie kann die Kunst ein eige- ner Zweck sein, ohne den Zusammenhang mit den hochsten Zwecken der Kultur zu verlieren oder ihnen zu schaden? Da fUr Schiller moralische Werte die hochsten Zwecke der Kultur verkorpern, liegt folglich das Problem der Kunstautonomie im Zusammenhang zwi- schen Kunst und Moral und auf theoretischer Ebene im Zusammen- hang zwischen A. sthetik und Ethik. (2) Das Problem der Kunstautonomie stellt sich vor dem Hintergrund der Asthetik der Aufklarung einersei ts und Kan ts sowie Goethes Asthetik andererseits.
