Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2011 im Fachbereich Soziologie - Individuum, Gruppe, Gesellschaft, Note: 1,7, Paneurópska vysoká skola, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Die Werteforschung von heute nutzt einem interdisziplinaren Ansatz, um Antworten auf die soziokulturellen Herausforderungen moderner Gesellschaften zu finden, indem sie Einstellungs- und Wertveränderungen von Menschen in den unterschiedlichsten Lebensbereichen transparent macht. Dabei lässt sich der Wertewandel grundsätzlich anhand plötzlicher Geschehnisse und tiefgreifender Ereignissen sowie an kontinuierlichen Veränderungsprozessen ablesen, die bis heute zu keinem Stillstand geführt haben. Vor dem Hintergrund zunehmend enttäuschender Berichte durch die Medien über die Nichteinhaltung universell geltender Werte, wie Ehrlichkeit, Anstand und Gerechtigkeit seitens gieriger Politiker und schamloser Wirtschaftsbosse, erlebt die Wertforschung aktuell ein großes Interesse. Von der Nachkriegszeit bis Mitte der sechziger Jahre standen traditionelle Werte und das Pflichtbewusstsein gegenüber der Familie, dem Arbeitgeber und dem Staat im Vordergrund des deutschen Bürgers. Weiterhin stand primär die Befriedigung existenzieller Bedürfnisse, wie die der Geselligkeit, des Wohnens und der Nahrungsaufnahme im Mittelpunkt des Interesses. Im Jahrzehnt zwischen 1962 und 1975 kam es zu einem "Wertewandelsschub", der die bisherige Pflichtkultur ablöste, und Raum für eine Kultur der Selbstverwirklichung schuf. Vor allem die Entflechtung des Bürgers von der Institutionen-Verbundenheit, führte zu einer Stärkung des Individuums, das von nun an immer mehr nach politischer, geistiger und vor allem, persönlicher Selbstverwirklichung strebte, wobei sich dieser Anspruch, mit Beginn der 1980er-Jahre, zunehmend verstärkte.
