About the Book

Michael Borgolte, Lehrstuhl für Mittelalterliche Geschichte I sowie Leiter des Instituts für vergleichende Geschichte Europas im Mittelalter an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin und Ordentliches Mitglied der Berlin-Brandenburgischen Akademie der Wissenschaften, konnte am 16. Mai 2008 seinen 60. Geburtstag begehen. Seine Forschungen prägen die deutsche und internationale Mediävistik nachhaltig und eröffnen der Geschichtswissenschaft wesentliche Perspektiven.
