About the Author: Folorunsó Folówóselé attended Government College Ibadan, Nigeria. He received BSc Hons degree in Physics from the University of Ibadan in 1968, subsequently a Graduate Diploma in Surveying from the University College London, and BS Arch, MCRP and MA Public Admin from the Ohio State University. He joined the public service of Western State of Nigeria at Ibadan in August 1969 and later the Federal Civil Service in Lagos in February 1981. An Assistant Director at the Federal Ministry of Works and Housing, he moved to the Urban Development Bank of Nigeria at its inception in 1992 as Assistant General Manager. He retired in 2005 as a General Manager. God's Own City (2000) is his first major published work. He wrote Power and Pomposity (2004). Folówóselé, a freelance journalist and Fellow of the Nigerian Institution of Surveyors and the Nigerian Institute of Town Planners, is happily married with children.
