Studienarbeit aus dem Jahr 2014 im Fachbereich Geschichte - Weltgeschichte - Frühgeschichte, Antike, Note: 2,3, Universität Leipzig (Historisches Seminar), Veranstaltung: Die Griechische Kolonisation, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: In der Hausarbeit wird das Verhältnis von Griechen und Juden in postkolonialer Zeit auf der Grundlage griechischer Alteritätserfahrungen in der Epoche der Kolonisation untersucht. Die Arbeit entstand im Seminar "Die Griechische Kolonisation" im Wahlbereich der Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften und fußt, ausgehend von dem Bild der Griechen zu Zeit der Kolonisation, auf einem kulturwissenschaftlichen Ansatz, den Jan Assmann und Meinhard Schuster theoretisch untermauern soll und der in dieser Arbeit zu Beginn einen großen Raum einnehmen wird. Ausgehend von antiken Quellen soll im ersten Teil dargestellt werden, wie sich Griechen in ihrem Selbstbild definieren. Inwiefern dient die dort erfahrene Alteritätserfahrung zur Absteckung von festen Grenzen im eigenen kulturellen Verständnis und was macht sie mit den sprichwörtlich "Anderen"? Diese Selbstzuschreibung dient später als Grundlage für die Betrachtung des Verhältnis von Griechen und Juden in postkolonialer Zeit. Es folgt der Hauptteil, der sich mit dem Begriff des Antisemitismus auseinandersetzt. Hier wird eine Arbeitsdefinition zu ermitteln sein, da nicht alle Merkmale des heutigen Antisemitismus für antike Verhältnisse zu übernehmen sein werden. Was macht das Bild des Juden konkret aus und wie konnten Stereotype für die eigene Handlung der Hellenen operationalisiert werden bzw. gibt es überhaupt überlieferte Merkmale oder entscheiden sich die Griechen von Fall zu Fall für eine Fremdzuschreibung je nach politischer Situation?
