About the Book

Grito de Mujer es una antología que reúne las voces de más de 240 poetas femeninas en más de 20 países, participantes destacadas de los eventos de la cadena mundial del festival internacional de poesía que lleva su nombre. Grito de Mujer representa lo mejor de la poesía femenina escrita con un alto contenido social en homenaje a la mujer y contra la violencia.

La antología Grito de Mujer está dedicada a Malala Yousafzai, Susana Chávez, Las hermanas Mirabal, y Nadia Anjuman (in memoriam) Todas víctimas de violencia. Incluye ademas los gritos de 21 poetas emblemáticas, representativas de cada país participante.

El Festival Internacional de Poesía Grito de Mujer se celebra durante todo el mes de marzo desde el año 2011 con la participación de hombres y mujeres poetas y artistas solidarios de todo el mundo. En esta ocasión celebramos con el lanzamiento de este libro del 5to. aniversario de creación del festival y su marca.

Woman Scream (Grito de Mujer) is an international female poetry anthology that gathers the voices of over 240 female poets of over 20 countries, all of them participants of the Woman Scream International Poetry Festival celebrated during the whole month of march each year to honor women and to rise our voices against women violence. This anthology was mostly written by female poets, and it's dedicated to Malala Yousafzai, Susana Chavez, Mirabal Sisters and Nadia Anjuman all victims of violence. It represents the best Spanish poetry presented by female poets on each WS city event. Every poem represents what we believe means to us, a real Woman Scream.

This anthology celebrates the 5th aniversary of Woman Scream International Poetry Festival and its brand.

About the Author: Jael Uribe is a dominican poetess creator of Mujeres Poetas Internacional (MPI) (the Women Poets International Movement). She is considered the initiator of the Woman Scream International Poetry Festival, a worldwide chain of events celebrated in march that honors women and gathers poets and artists to raise their voices against women violence.
