Großvaters Spiegel Großvaters Leben verläuft ruhig und in seinem Tagesablauf gibt es nichts Aufregendes. Die besondere Fähigkeit, sollte von nun an Großvaters Leben entscheidend verändern. Zur selben Zeit wird in Mittelstadt eine ägyptische Ausstellung im städtischen Museum vorbereitet. Die Hauptattraktion ist eine königliche Mumie mit einem wertvollen Stein auf der Brust. Vor Ausstellungsbeginn verschwindet die Mumie auf rätselhafte Weise aus den Räumen des Museums. Das ist die Stunde für Großvater und seinen alten, trüben Spiegel, den Großmutter längst entsorgen möchte. Es geht aber nicht alles so einfach ab, auch wenn Großvater über einen Spiegel der besonderen Art verfügt. Dieser turbulente Kinder- und Jugendkrimi, nimmt die jungen Leser mit auf Großvaters große Reisen durch Zeit und Raum sowie in ferne Länder. Sie begleiten ihn nach Afrika, in den Regenwald und in die Steinzeit nach Neuguinea. Großvaters blickt auch mal kurz in seine Schulzeit zurück. Seine Hauptaufgabe sieht er jedoch im Auffinden der Mumie und in der Wiederbeschaffung des wertvollen Steins. Ob ihm das gelingt, hängt nicht zuletzt von der Kraft des Spiegels ab. Großvater erzählt viel Wissenswertes, was spannend und unterhaltend ist. Gleichzeitig bleibt aber auch die Möglichkeit mit Großvater zu überlegen, wie es weitergehen könnte, um die Mumie und den Stein wieder zu beschaffen.
About the Author: Hans-Werner Loy, 1937 in Nürnberg geboren. Nach einer Fachausbildung in der grafischen Industrie und einem Kunststudium arbeitet er bis heute als Fachjournalist. Als junger Großvater begann er bereits für seine Enkel Kinderbücher zu schreiben. Seine erste Veröffentlichung war "Andreas und Lufti", die Geschichte einer Freundschaft zwischen einem Jungen und einem kleinen Gespenst. Neben zwei Romanen schrieb er zahlreiche fantasievolle Geschichten über Gespenster, Geister sowie die Reise eines Mädchens in einer Seifenblase.
