About the Author: Inger Lise Oelrich er teaterinstruktør, storyteller og voksenunderviser. Hun er født i Danmark og er vokset op i mange lande. Med sig bærer hun en ukuelig interesse for menneskehedens mange ansigter og kulturer. Hun har i et helt liv arbejdet med kreativitet, social kunst og personlig udvikling indenfor teater, uddannelse, sundhedsvæsen, arbejdsliv og fredsarbejde. Inger Lise holder kurser, leder projekter, fortæller og udvikler nye uddannelseskoncepter på grundlag af storytelling, teater og social kunst. Hun arbejder på engelsk, svensk og dansk. I årtusindskiftet var hun forstander på Søtoftegård Højskole, dannelse og vækst for alle er noget hun brænder for. Inger Lise er en pioner som har taget initiativ til internationale møder og symposier, bl.a. Storytelling as a Healing Art 2005, Storytelling as Pathway to Peace 2007, Ord som Läker 2010 i Sverige, hvor hele Kalevala blev fortalt af 19 fortællere fra alla nordiske lande sammen med Klezmerduo. 2005 grundlagde hun sammen med 50 andre ALBA - Allians för Läkande Berättande i Norden, et netværk af fortællere og andre, der interesserer sig for fortællingens og lytningens hjælpende kraft. Siden 2006 har hun ledet en nordisk uddannelse i Healing Story gennem virksomheden Storytelling for Life. Uddannelser er blevet gennemført i Sverige, Danmark og Norge. Inger Lise er idé kvinde og projektleder for BARNET - en hjärtesak, Storytelling som redskap i arbetet med barn och unga som far illa under Skolverket i Sverige, 2007-2009. Hun har taget initiativ til ALBA Fredsprojekt, som undersøger og forsker i fortællerens specielle kompetencer i inter kulturellt arbejde og fredsprocesser. Siden 2010 har hun samarbejdet med Folke Bernadotte Akademin, en svensk myndighed for fred og sikkerhed, hvor hun har udviklet storytelling metoder som kan indgå i en politiskt laddet kontekst, bland andet ved Irakiska (2010) og Syriska Dialogmötena (2017). I 2014 tog hun initiativ til Storytelling & Peace Council, et fagligt råd af 24 fortællere fra 16 lande. Hun er vogter af den europeiske myte om Parzival. Inger Lise har skrevet to skuespil samt tre bøger om storytelling, den seneste THE NEW STORY Storytelling as a Pathway to Peace i nyudgave 2020, se www.thenewstory.nu.
