Heine, der furchtlose Kämpfer mit der spitzen Feder, der sich für Werte wie soziale Gerechtigkeit, Freiheit und Revolution stark gemacht hat - er, der "linke Dichter", soll etwas gemein haben mit dem "Gottesmörder", dem "Wertezertrümmerer" Nietzsche, der in elitärer Weise den "Untergang" der Menschen und die Heraufkunft eines "Übermenschen" verkündete? Worin sollen sie denn bestehen, diese Gemeinsamkeiten zwischen Heine, dem revolutionären Geist, dem schwärmerischen Dichter der Liebe, der von seinen Freunden geliebt wurde, bei seinen Feinden und Neidern hingegen verhaßt war ob seines scharfzüngigen Spottes über die Menschen und die Gesellschaft seiner Zeit...? Und auf der anderen Seite Nietzsche, dem Dekonstrukteur des gesellschaftlich Überkommenen, mit seinen zum Teil nur schwer verdaulichen "Tiraden", die den "strikten Egoismus" verkündend die "Härte" gegen sich selbst ebenso einforderten wie die "Härte" gegen Andere...? Die vorliegende Untersuchung hat sich zum Ziel gesetzt, durch eine schwerpunktorientierte Analyse ausgewählter Denkinhalte beider Autoren dieser in Frage stehenden und in der literaturwissenschaftlichen Forschung m. E. bis dato allenfalls unbefriedigt beantworteten "Problematik" nachzugehen. Zwar hat die literaturwissenschaftliche Forschung eine Unmenge an Material über die hier zur Diskussion stehenden Autoren zusammengetragen und viele Winkel ihres Denkens eingehend "durchleuchtet". Aber der "blinde Fleck" ist nicht zu leugnen: In der Auseinandersetzung um den ideengeschichtlichen Kontext des 19. Jahrhunderts werden Heine und Nietzsche nur selten in einem Atemzug genannt. Wo doch - wie später zu zeigen sein wird - Nietzsche in einigen charakteristischen Bereichen in Heine eine Art unmittelbaren Vorläufer, wenn nicht gar ein "Vorbild" seines Denkens gefunden zu haben scheint...
