About the Book

Having royal parents, a young foal is born with a unique problem. A problem that no one has ever seen before. She has a stick growing out of her forehead. This young foal has several siblings and as time passes she watches them grow up and become like their royal parents. Having loving parents watch over her and attempting to tackle life's challenges with this unique problem, this young foal eventually sets out on an adventure or quest that her father, the king, has encouraged her to take. The king teaches her about a legend concerning a specific individual that everyone calls the wisdom seeker. The wisdom seeker, as the legend says, knows all things and perhaps the wisdom seeker can help this filly with her unique problem. Although no one has ever seen the wisdom seeker, the king gives his daughter a special gift that once belonged to his grandfather to help guide her way as she searches for the legend told. Along her adventures she meets some pretty interesting characters that become her closest friends. She finds out about magic and the source from where the magic comes from. There are many surprises all along this filly's quest that keeps her and her friends guessing. Laughter and bewildering changes are always a part of the path. It is a heart warming story that has a magical ending!
About the Author: I call myself a small entrepreneur of sorts. I've dabbled in several adventures trying to expand my creativity and build random talents. I call them random because it is a little bit of variety. I wanted to be an entertainer (small scale of course), so I learned about being a clown. I have been a local professional clown for quite a few years now. It's been a fun adventure with a lot of great memories. Kids are great! People are great! Most people enjoy a silly moment and being a clown allows any age to be childlike which I love to see in people. I was a foster parent for several years and that was challenging and rewarding all in one. I dabble in drawing a bit and writing poetry. I really love to see the creativity in others writings. I get so engrossed in their stories that its like I'm right in the middle of the story watching the scenes unravel right before my very eyes. I have experienced the cancer diagnosis scare and have had the surgery, chemo therapy, and radiation treatment. I've lost all my hair, my eye brows and eye lashes. What surprises life always brings! For this specific story I reflected on when I was a child. I grew up with my front middle tooth crooked as could be (completely sideways actually). I had kids always ask me where did I get my sharp tooth? My brother called it my hallmark. I had that sharp tooth all the way up into my early 20's until I was given braces. This and other people and events inspired me to write this story. I thought how often people have something that makes them different and often alone in their differences or challenges in life. I hope that whoever reads this story comes out feeling lighter inside and better. That is my goal from it. Happy Day and Bump a Nose as my clown character would say. Billie
