The first in a new trilogy and the first novel by debut author Kevin Keller, The Hidden Legacy: Discovering Ocaba blurs the lines between modern America and a hidden realm full of magic and turmoil.
In this grand portal fantasy, readers discover Ocaba, an empire of four kingdoms existing in a separate sphere from the Earth we know. There, elves, humans, shape shifters, and other creatures have lived together peacefully, until now. It is when almost all of the elves depart that the fabric of this stability begins to unravel. One of the remaining elves, the vengeful Darius, seizes power through merciless bloodshed.
The surviving heirs of the royal bloodline must be protected, and their safety can only be secured outside of Ocaba, in an unassuming home in South Carolina. As the young children grow, they remember almost nothing of their true home or their identities. But fate demands that they confront the truth much sooner than anticipated.
Having manifested by reading fantasy tales to his children growing up, Keller's love for magic and storytelling now expresses itself in an original saga of epic proportions. In Ocaba, readers young and old will find a world ripe with adventure and intrigue.
About the Author: Author Kevin Keller's passion for writing first became apparent when he won a high school creative-writing contest and had a poem published in Maggie's Drawers. With the birth of his children and the pursuit of his medical career, however, his storytelling was put on hold-until now. The Hidden Legacy: Discovering Ocaba is a first for Keller in two ways: it's his first novel, and it's the first book in his young adult fantasy trilogy.
Keller attended Wofford College and completed his doctorate of medicine at the Medical University of South Carolina. He's been a practicing plastic surgeon for eighteen years.
A family man, Keller has been married for twenty-six years and has two children-to whom he spent much time reading fictional fantasies while they were growing up. Keller currently resides in Greenville, South Carolina.
