About the Book

This is the second book in this genre mash-up series. Each book contains cops, criminals, psychopaths, vampires, demons, magic and the supernatural. The hero is a vigilante with a craving for human blood, a mastery of the occult and is a master swordsman. Detroit. Once the crown jewel of American industrial power and wealth is now a crumbling ruin of vanished dreams and vanished wealth. At one time its citizens were the richest per capita of any other city in the country, if not the world. Now two-thirds of its citizens have left town, fleeing the violence of Devil's Night, the violence of crack dealers, heroin dealers, armed thieves and killers. The least safe neighborhoods in the country are located here. The murder rate is the highest in the nation. The thugs who turned this once great city into the hellhole it has become have caused forty percent of the city to be abandoned. In efforts to save money to pay city union worker pensions, the city doesn't light streetlights in those parts of the city. There is a deep underground subculture that feeds on itself and any unfortunate person that finds itself there. This is the milieu where Falco walks. Falco, the vigilante. Falco, the avenger. Falco, the consumer of the blood of the most foul of human monsters. There are others who want to exploit the compulsions of the weakest in human society: among them, the powerful Dorigo gang which runs organized crime in Detroit. The gang has become an important importer and distributor of heroin to syndicate customers in Toronto, New York, Chicago, Cleveland, Cincinnati and St. Louis. What Dorigo doesn't know is that another powerful force is plotting against him. While employing his psychic abilities to save innocent victims and solving unsolvable crimes for the Detroit Police Department's Special Investigations Division, Falco learns just how evil the scourge of heroin addiction can be. He launches an investigation that leads him through Detroit to Winnipeg, Canada to find out the truth: a loathsome, foul crime against humanity. One that must be avenged. And the only one who can avenge it is Falco. After rushing back to Detroit to a crucial confrontation, there ensues a desperate chase that leads to a forgotten fortress high in the Canadian Rockies where an epic battle ensues. The story is filled with vampires, sorcerers, demons, monsters, gangsters, murders, torture, beheadings and more. It's a tale of retribution, revenge, redemption and love. It's a tale where people who have lost their souls are given a chance to fight one last time for their lives and a chance to free themselves from the most evil force imaginable. The one who will lead them into battle is Falco, the Dark Angel. This is the middle book of a trilogy. There are total of five in the series so far. These books are genre mashups. Each book contains cops, criminals, vampires and the supernatural. Historical fact and fancy enhance all. Each Falco Adventure is intended to be an escapist thriller. Falco is a most unusual hero: a vampire vigilante who feeds on the foulest of humanity.
