About the Book

A tsunami, hurricane, and a drowning are more than enough for one person to live through. But this is just the beginning. A series of unexplained and unexpected natural disasters keep occurring throughout the globe and nobody seems to notice, that is, everyone except Claire. Torn between her love for Sebastian and her growing duty for the human race, Claire must decide what means more to her. Will she spend the rest of her life with the love of her life, or choose to save her people? Claire's nightmares return, but this time she is aided by her great grandmother, Coralia. Guided by her horrific visions of the future, Claire is able to convince her Uncle Anton that merpeople exist and that they aren't friendly. War is erupting from the sea and the only way to stop it is to fight back. But is it already too late? Or do the merpeople have something much bigger planned for the human race than war? What are they hiding under the ocean? High Tide is a dark, romantic young adult novel. The second book in the Rising Tide series that includes: Rising Tide, High Tide, and Riptide.
About the Author: "Go and make interesting mistakes, make amazing mistakes, make glorious and fantastic mistakes. Break rules. Leave the world more interesting for your being here. Make. Good. Art." Neil Gaiman Chel was born in Utah. She is the 9th child of 10. She grew up poor, but always had a taste for the finer things in life, such as painting and literature. Painting her visions of adventure onto paper, Chel created a dark, fantastical underworld beneath the sea in her Rising Tide series. Chel also writes a series of comical children's books called, How To. Chel spends her free time with her beautiful daughter Claire, exploring life's many great adventures and pursuing her love of art and literature. She also has a German Shepard named Genghis Khan, and searches out hidden restaurants to satisfy her need for fine food. Along with her full time career in digital marketing, Chel maintains a full time art and photography studio in her home and is always looking for people to share her love of art with.
