About the Book

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

A work of great narrative breath that has conquered for Mexican literature current archetypes of the country's history and culture. -Alvaro Ruiz Abreu

In the novel, Goodbye to Parents, Héctor Aguilar Camín tells the story of his family, marked by his father's absence. To tell the truth--that which goes beyond just the facts--the writer knew that he could only turn to literature. In each one, Héctor Aguilar Camín, reproduces with mastery Scheherazade's lesson: tell a story within a story. And like that, using this strategy, he reviews the passions of an entire life: friendship, family, lost kingdoms, alcohol, love and lust, the imperfection of history... Talked About Stories is the volume that completes Héctor Aguilar Camín's family saga and the book that proves he's one of the best Mexican storytellers of our time.
