About the Book

Cindill was a peaceful world. Made by a group of gods, it was a place where men and mythical creatures alike enjoyed prosperity under the gods who created it. They ruled this land with the intension of handing it over to two humans who would earn immortality and rule for centuries. One of the gods, however, was corrupted by pride and vanity. He decided to take Cindill for his own. Betraying his fellow gods, he took over and brought forth evil. The only other two gods left then set in motion the rise of the brothers.

Join Florida man, Ben Mole, and his brother, the Alaskan frontiersman, Fredrick Mole, as they fight for a throne, immortality, and the freedom of the people of Cindill. Joining them are the gods, Dingle and Zilidith, the immortal of the wood, Melcondria, the Hillman, Dindice, the traitor hoofgoofers, Gilfi and Bilfi, and the dragons, Drapyro and Drafrio. Together they shall lead an army against a prideful and powerful god to restore justice to a once peaceful and prosperous land.

About the Author: Drake Budde was born to a pastor on May 10th 1991 in Princeton Illinois. As a young kid, Drake never had much interest in reading. Then in the summer of 2001, his father, Scott Budde, made a stop to a store called the music shop. This store sells music instruction book, guitar supplies, and rents DVDs. Here Scott rented an animated version of Tolkiens books, The Fellowship of the Ring and The Two Towers. Loving this movie and seeing the live action versions that came out the following winter, Drake was soon reading all the books he could find by Tolkien and his contemporary, C.S. Lewis.

Inspired by these stories, Drake came up with an idea for a book about a fictional world involved in a great war that threatened to tear the world apart. (The History Books of Cindill, Book 3: The Great War of Cindill) He came up with two prequels and a sequel, thus making the History Books of Cindill. He then began work on the first manuscript. Many times this manuscript was rewritten and altered till it developed into this book.
