About the Book

Kate becomes the driving force behind architect James O'Hara's efforts to build a unique National Theme Park. Its purpose is not like that of any other in the world. Finding financial backing for this altruistic project is virtually impossible. In their efforts to raise the necessary funds they are drawn ever closer together, with several other love interests developing among the team gathered around them in pursuit of their dream. As the tale evolves so the pace quickens, with each chapter producing twists and sub plots. There are numerous surprises and seemingly unnatural coincidences emergent from the so called 'Chaos Theory' and the 'Six Degrees of Separation' phenomenon which add to the intrigue. The author apologises for the tear jerking inclusion of one chapter in particular which cannot fail to moisten the eyes of those readers with a sensitive disposition. However, it was an essential element of the plot and it is hoped it will not spoil your enjoyment of the overall narrative. Let your own imagination boldly run riot in pursuit of the 'feel good factor'. Extracts from within. James was dubious about the validity of the science and thought at the time his friend was winding him up. However, he was getting wet and had nothing to lose by putting the theory to the test. So there he was in the middle of a car park in the pouring rain holding the shaft of a car key to his temple like a man about to end it all. 'Is there such a thing as death by car key?' he wondered. *** On the project things started going wrong, the costs were escalating, the construction contracts were overrunning, the banks and venture capitalists were getting the fidgets. Even the Government was becoming nervous that it would not be able to capitalise politically on the expected grandiose opening ceremony it had planned. *** Kate, on the other hand spent a great deal of time on the phone, shut away in her office on issues which had little to do with her job. With the exception of a few very close associates nobody knew what she was up to. Whatever the reason, it was consuming her time and became the talk of the entire building. It was a distraction for those around her who were not in the know as they tried in vain to find out what was going on. *** "My God man! Am I glad you phoned? I was just about to call you. We're in a terrible state here. There are fire engines all over." Dafydd, who had seen it was James calling before answering, sounded ever more frantic as he began gasping hysterically. "The whole bloody place has gone up in flames man. We've no idea what started it, but there won't be much to salvage when they've finally got it under control. I'm afraid your Roamer thingies have had it boyo." *** "Well Mister O'Hara, what I am about to say must not be repeated outside this room; at least not for the time being. And I am obliged to remind you that you have all just signed the Official Secrets Act." She looked at James and the rest of his team in such a way as to indicate a holiday at Her Majesty's pleasure in the Tower of London would be the consequence of a leak. *** "Listen James I got a call from Rollin out of the blue earlier in the week. He said he was involved in something I might be interested in. He said it was too big to discuss over the phone. Well when someone says the words 'too big' to me they get my attention." *** A pin could be heard to drop in these extraordinary surroundings. The only noticeable movement was the dove as it hovered gently before them as if in readiness to spread the message of peace around the world. The moment was one of supreme reverence; humbling to behold.
