About the Book

Larry Roberts is a talented artist, he has been academically trained and can copy the style and painting technique of any artist, living or dead. His friend encourages him to use his skill and craftsmanship to forge paintings of some of the great masters and to pass these off as the genuine article. Initially he does this with great success, but unwittingly gets involved with a criminal family from Ireland who purchase several of his forgeries. When they discover they have been duped they are hell bent on retribution and decide to kidnap him to exert their revenge. It soon becomes apparent that other people who have also purchased fake pictures for huge sums of money also want revenge and want to get their hands on the perpetrator of this scam. A Middle Eastern Sheikh who has parted with a vast amount of money is determined to track down the culprits. Larry Roberts becomes embroiled with lethal assassins from several countries and is eventually kidnapped and held captive and ordered to paint in return for his life. Ex Special Air Service members are recruited to hunt for Larry and free him from captivity. A rip roaring action packed story unfolds as they take on armed gunmen as they search for him in several countries.
About the Author: Keith Armstrong lives in Cavan, Ireland with his wife Rosemary. He has been involved with textile design all his working life. Since semi-retirement he has spent a lot more time writing. His first novel 'A Day at the Races' was published in March 2013. This is the story about a man who's daughter develops a life threatening liver disease. Her only chance of survival is by way of a transplant assuming a donor can be found. Unfortunately, the cost of this operation is hugely expensive, way beyond his means. A friend encourages him to use his skill and position in a printing company to print some counterfeit £50 notes and launder these at race courses around the UK. However, things do not go as planned and they become mixed up with drug dealers, bent banking officials and politicians in their efforts to pull this off. His second novel 'Sand Dollar Logistics' was published in December 2013. It is the story about a deposed African leader who wants to return to power. He recruits a company of mercenaries based in Pakistan to use chemical or nuclear weapons to help him achieve this goal. When MI6 in the UK become aware of this plot they despatch a team of SAS operatives to stop him. A fast action story unfolds as the terrorists are hunted through several Southern African countries in an effort to eliminate them. His third novel 'Colonel Smythe's Daughter' was published in December 2014. This is the story of a socialite who marries beneath her station. After a couple of years of married life she becomes restless and starts a string of affairs. When one by one her lovers meet untimely and violent deaths her husband is the prime suspect. Multiple murders occur as they try to find who is really responsible in this story of deceit and infidelity. He is currently working on his fifth novel. Keith is also an accomplished painter and has exhibited his work in several countries. Portraits are his speciality and he has several high profile sitters as his subjects. He presented the President of Ireland Michael D Higgins with his portrait in 2010.
