About the Author: Keld Berger Graugart har gennem 20 år udgivet 11 bøger med historisk islæt. Det startede med slægtsforskning der afslørede en farverig familie, med rødder i Norge, Fanø, Humlebæk, Nyboder, Islands Brygge og resten af Danmark som baggrundstapet. Hans far emigrerede til Australien i 1957, uden en krone på lommen, hvor han byggede en forretning op fra bunden. Hans Farfar sad til højbord med Frits Clausen under besættelsen og blev idømt to års fængsel efter krigen. Hans Farmor stammede fra Fanø med rødder i øens skibsfarthistorie med en tip tip oldefar som øens store skibsbygger. Hans oldemors bror skrev Fanøs historie og blev Ridder af Dannebrog for dette værk. Hans mor blev født på Islands Brygge, hvor han selv voksede op med sine to søskende. Hans mormor var fra Sletten Humlebæk, hvor hendes morfar var gardehusar og red forrest med generalen under de tre største slag i slesvigkrigen 1848-50. Hans mormors fætter var gardehusar under besættelsen og sabotør. Han blev byleder i Ribe da krigen sluttede og modtog Ridder af Dannebrog ordenen for sin indsats under krigen. Hans morfars mor var ud af 16 søskende med en oldefar der deltog i krigen 1864. familien bredte sig ud, med flere personligheder så som Storm P.s første kone, og en berømt kunstner fra guldalderen der var ven med H.C. Andersen. Efter en stribe slægtsbøger slog Keld Graugart over i historiske romaner og danmarkshistorien set gennem konger og dronninger.
