About the Author: Just like everyone else, I want to be happy and I have spent a good part of my life, the last twenty-one years, consciously dedicated to this end. My studies and experience over this time have included hundreds of personal development books, (Western) Psychology, Quantum Mechanics, World Religions, Sacred Geometry, Various Shamanic Cultures, Indian and Chinese Philosophies, Yoga and Qi Gong. I grew up in the suburbs with nothing special to offer other than slightly better than average hand-eye coordination. Sport was a big part of my life and for some reason I became captain of most of the sports teams I was involved with (running, cricket, football & golf). I thrived on competition and loved being in the spotlight, but then suddenly, about halfway through my final year of high school, I was overcome with severe lethargy and despite all efforts, this condition was to remain with me undiagnosed, untreated and debilitating for many years. Using some breathing techniques I learnt along the way, but mostly using sheer will power, I was able to manage this condition enough to realize my dream of becoming a professional golfer. I used the down time, to search for a solution to my debilitating condition. In addition to undergoing countless (allopathic & natural) medical tests and subsequent dietary and medical adjustments, I devoured scores of books on personal development and human performance and I became fascinated with how the human mind and psychology works. As I continued to learn and put into practice what I had learnt, not only did I start to feel and perform better, but I also found that people would often seek me out for advice. Sharing what I had learnt with other people helped them with their lives too and this in turn made me feel good; it felt like a natural and normal thing for me to do. My pro golf career lasted four years and for the past twenty-one years, I have been assisting people from all walks of life, including senior managers, celebrities and professional sportspeople to find fulfillment and meaning. In addition to this, my CV also includes: launching and running my own successful businesses, consulting (design & operations) on new golf resort projects and international recruitment in the mining and associated industries. I currently live on the beach in northern New South Wales, Australia and when not assisting others in their quest for happiness and purpose, I am relaxing with family and friends or surfing.
