Marco and his ex-wife Bobbi and their children, Marlo and Joey, were under attack and he felt helpless against the dark forces conspiring to destroy them. There was the mysterious 'Visitor' who uncovered secrets from Marco's past that had haunted him since early childhood. Secrets which eventually drove Marco into drunken spirals later in life and caused him to lose everything...his family, home and successful career...as well as his dignity and self-respect. The Visitor wanted money, but also lusted for revenge...the ultimate revenge that only complete destruction would satisfy. There also was B.B. Barneholdt, the vicious and wealthy, business mogul, who would do anything to keep his daughter Karen away from Marco's son, even murder if necessary. B.B. first lost control of his life when his wife deserted him for another man. From that day forward, he was going to always be the one calling the shots; he will control everybody and everything and make sure things always went his way. He certainly wasn't going to lose his daughter to someone from such an inferior background. The Visitor was getting closer and B.B. Barneholdt's killers were poised to strike again. There had to be a way for Marco to save his family, an answer somewhere...somehow. Maybe if he was finally willing to confront the nightmares, that answer could be found in his past. He would do anything to once again become the man he used to be; the man Bobbi fell in love with and his children looked up to.
About the Author: Sonny Beddia spent decades in advertising working for firms like J. Walter Thompson, BBDO and Grey's. During the 1990's, he wrote three novels: IF THE CUP STANDS EMPTY, THE MEMBERSHIP and THIS STRANGE LAND as a creative outlet for his true passion: the written word. Once he finally put the rigors of the daily grind behind him, he decided to blow the dust off of these works and pursue his dream to have them published. The Membership, was finally published on October 26, 2016. This Strange Land was published on April 10, 2017. If The Cup Stands Empty recently published on January 20, 2018; the first of the novels he wrote back in the 90's publishing last. Sonny lives in Hawthorne, NY with his beloved wife, Barbara. The couple celebrated their 50th Anniversary on April 2, 2017. They have two children, Andra and Johnny, and are enjoying their four grandchildren: Shane, Ethan, Zoey and Jaxon [and their granddog, Tanner].
