Hiraeth: A longing for a home that never was, or the grief for the lost places of your past.
The world of 3027 is extremely dangerous. The discovery of another realm, Somnus, has changed the balance of power and made nightfall perilous. Anyone who doesn't follow the curfew imposed by the Defense Against Somnus agency (DAS) finds themselves face to face with the demons of Somnus.
Despite the nighttime hazards, teenagers Zarya, Sierra, Arden, and Light enjoy ordinary lives. The biggest worries of the two girls and two boys are school and family-until Light stays out past curfew...
That night, Light finds an unusual stone with a strange tie to the land of Somnus. The stone is a powerful relic that DAS agents would kill for. To uncover the mystery of the stone and save Light from its psychic manipulations, the four go on the run from the government. Along the way, they befriend Luna, an orphan girl with ties to the DAS. On their fantastic journey, they discover the truth about Somnus and the demons that call it home.
