About the Book

English summary: This collection provides a critical edition of the short plays of Leon Battista Alberti (1404-1472). Though scattered into various manuscripts, this edition brings these works together for the first time in their entirety. The first volume groups the texts according to the desired arrangement of the author, while the second volume provides commentary on the plays, supplemented by an analysis of their language, style, and form.
