Im Zeitalter der Globalisierung kommt dem Fremdsprachenunterricht als Vorbereitung auf die Begegnung mit fremden Kulturen eine Schlüsselrolle zu. Da Sprachen- und Kulturlernen untrennbar miteinander verbunden sind, muss in einem anwendungsorientierten Fremdsprachenunterricht neben der Zielsprache auch die betreffende Kultur vermittelt werden. Ziele sind hierbei die Sensibilisierung für kulturbedingte Unterschiede und Gemeinsamkeiten und die Vermittlung Interkultureller Kompetenz. Die Auseinandersetzung mit der Zielkultur muss mit der Reflexion über die eigene Kultur verbunden werden. Um diesen Bedürfnissen der georgischen Deutschlerner Rechnung zu tragen, ist neben der Lehrerausbildung die Entwicklung geeigneter interkulturell ausgerichteter regionaler Lehrwerke von besonderer Bedeutung.
About the Author: Nino Loladze wurde in Georgien geboren, absolvierte ihr Germanistikstudium an der Staatlichen Ivane Javakhishvili Universität Tbilisi und studierte anschließend Deutsch als Fremdsprache an der Universität des Saarlandes. Im Anschluss daran absolvierte sie den LL.M.-Studiengang «Europäische Integration» an der Universität des Saarlandes und promovierte dort im Fach Deutsch als Fremdsprache.
