About the Author: Dr. Michael Sutton is Carolina Distinguished Professor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of South Carolina. His research and interests include coherent and incoherent optics applications, experimental mechanics, digital image processing, Computer Vision, applications of integral methods and experimental mechanics, boundary valve problems, plastic fracture mechanics, finite elements modeling of cracked bodies. Dr. Phillip Reu is a Senior Member of Technical Staff at Sandia National Laboratories. His research involves the applications of full-field measurements since 2003, focusing on both coherent measurement systems and image correlation. He holds a PhD from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
