About the Author:

Dr. Qusay Hassan is an independent researcher and a technology evangelist with 15 years of professional experience in ICT. He is currently a systems analyst at the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) in Cairo, Egypt, where he deals with large-scale and complex systems. Dr. Hassan has received his BS, MS, and Ph.D. from Mansoura University, Egypt in computer science and information systems in 2003, 2008, and 2015, respectively. His research interests are varied which include IoT, SOA, high- performance computing, cloud computing and grid computing. Dr. Hassan has authored and co-authored several journal and conference papers as well as book chapters. He also published two books lately: Networks of the Future: Architectures, Technologies, and Implementations (CRC Press, 2017); and Applications in Next-Generation High Performance Computing (IGI Global, 2016). He is currently preparing a handbook on the Internet of Things to be published in 2018. Dr. Hassan is an IEEE senior member, and a member of the editorial board of a number of associations.

Dr. Atta ur Rehman Khan is an associate professor at the department of computer science, Air University, Pakistan. He has extensive experience in teaching, research, and industry at key positions. He has completed renowned projects, published research articles in reputed journals/conferences, and edited/co-authored multiple books. Currently, he is an associate editor of IEEE Access, Springer Journal of Cluster Computing, Associate Technical Editor of IEEE Communications Magazine, Editor of Elsevier Journal of Network and Computer Applications, Oxford Computer Journal, IEEE SDN Newsletter, KSII Transactions on Internet and Information Systems, SpringerOpen Human-centric Computing and Information Sciences, SpringerPlus, and Ad hoc & Sensor Wireless Networks journal, member of IEEE R&D committee for Smart Grids, IEEE Smart Grids Education Committee, IEEE Smart Grids publications committee, IEEE Smart Grids Operations Committee, Amazon Web Services (AWS) Educate program, NVIDIA GPU Educators Program, Steering Committee Member/ Track Chair/ Technical Program Committee (TPC) member of over 50 international conferences, and Higher Education Commission (Pakistan) approved PhD supervisor. He also serves as a domain expert for multiple international research funding bodies, namely European Commission and CONICYT National Commission for Scientific and Technological Research, Santiago, Chile. Moreover, he is a Senior Member of IEEE and Professional Member of ACM. He has received multiple awards, fellowships, and research grants. Dr. Sajjad A. Madani is associate professor at the department of computer science, at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology. Additionally, he is the director of the virtual campus of the same institute. Dr. Madani did his PhD from Vienna University of Technology, Austria in 2008. He is a senior IEEE member, member of IEEE industrial electronics society, and member of Pakistan Engineering Council. Dr. Madani is also a member of the academic council of CIIT, member of the board of faculty of information science and technology, and member of the board of studies of computer science department. Dr. Madani is actively involved in the research areas of cloud computing, low power wireless sensor networks, and application of industrial informatics to electrical energy networks. Dr. Madani has more than 70 refereed research articles to his name. Dr. Madani is actively involved in the organization of International Conference on Frontiers of Information Technology (FIT) for the last many years as program co-chair of the conference. Dr. Madani has won several awards and scholarships during his career and studentship. He is the recipient of a prestigious 12th National Teradata IT Excellence Award. He was awarded a gold medal by grabbing top position in the department at University of Engineering and Technology, KPK, Pakistan.
