About the Book

Ishmael's world is turned upside down when he witnesses the brutal murder of his family. Riddled with anger and left devastated and grief-stricken, he is forced by fear to flee his village with his best friend Avraham, losing all he has ever known. Seeking a place of safety and battling with crippling emotions, along with frequent flashbacks and nightmares, this inevitably sends him down a dangerous path and into a world of confusion. Being guided throughout his life, unknowingly, his path is laid to lead him onto a journey of real discovery, but will he get that far? Will he find the strength to deal with all that life has thrown at him, will the wisdom of those close to him help him see reason, or will the constant battles with his mind- prove just too much to handle?
About the Author: Born in Liverpool, England, Glenda has recently been diagnosed with Aspergers and Fibromyalgia. Having been through many difficult and traumatic experiences throughout her life, she found that writing poetry was the only way for her to express and give voice to her feelings, it gave her understanding of herself which helped her to grow as a person. She started to take writing much more seriously when she had an encounter in 2016, with someone who gave her the self-belief that she could write other genres. This was the start of not only her first novel- but a journey of discovery about herself. Having the belief and support from certain people since then is what inspired her to chase her dream of becoming a published author. She has a passion for helping others which led her to volunteer with people who have multi-complex needs, ranging from homelessness to substance misuse, which she also has first-hand experience of. She believes people's experiences can help others, this is what inspired her to do this in her role as a volunteer, but also as a writer, in hope that others can gain inspiration and belief, that regardless of what life throws at us, we are strong enough to overcome the challenges- even when at times we see otherwise. Her life has not been easy, but it has always had a purpose, she believes that now, writing and helping others is it
