About the Book

Fletcher Long prefers minimal government as opposed to a corrupt, abusive, inefficient and tyrannical one. This book is a collection of his writings, the title derived from his popular radio show, The Long Version. No one has spoken more directly, more comprehensively, and with greater fervor and power to our modern day legal culture than Fletcher Long. In the movie, "Liar, Liar,"another attorney named "Fletcher," played by actor Jim Carrey exaggerates the stories of his self-centered, money-grubbing clients to make money for his law firm and boost his career. Fletcher's son makes a wish that for just one day his father can't tell a lie. But Fletcher Long does not have to be under a spell to tell the truth, which he acknowledges is somewhere in the Long Version of any story.
About the Author: Fletcher Long hosts a nationally syndicated internet radio show The Long Version. Fletcher was one of the most famous criminal trial attorneys in the Bar of Tennessee trying to jury over 200 criminal jury trials in a span of 18 years, as seen on CourtTV, National News shows, local television hundreds of times, spawning negative and positive commentary over the course of a very public professional life. Fletcher is loved, hated, but listened to by everyone, regardless of either animus or affection. Fletcher was consistently targeted by governmental and regulatory authorities and brings a message of warning and, ultimately, a plan and voice for hope and a way off the ledge. Attorney Fletcher Long rose to the pinnacle of the legal profession, was convicted of a felony, disbarred, losing everything he had, only to rise up from the ashes and embark on Act II of his journey. Will Act II be anywhere as successful as Act I? Well that's up to you. I guess we'll see. Fletcher grew up in Hopkinsville, Kentucky; graduated from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville and received a doctorate of jurisprudence from the Nashville School of Law where he was selected, prior to disbarment, as one of the most noteworthy graduates to have ever matriculated through that law school in it's fourth quarter-century.
