Bachelorarbeit aus dem Jahr 2023 im Fachbereich Philosophie - Praktische (Ethik, Ästhetik, Kultur, Natur, Recht, ...), Carl von Ossietzky Universität Oldenburg, Sprache: Deutsch, Abstract: Es scheint, als wäre es für Jagende heutzutage umso wichtiger, ihren "Ehrenschild" hochzuhalten, da sich Jagende in unserer Zeit mehr denn je für ihre Jagdpraxis nicht nur ethisch, sondern vermehrt auch theologisch rechtfertigen müssen. Dabei zeigt das Gedicht von Riesenthal den Jagenden, worauf es bei einer waidgerechten Jagd auf folgendes ankommt: Schutz des Wildes, Hege und ehrenvoller Umgang gegenüber dem Geschöpf aus Respekt vor Gottes Schöpfung. Aus dem Grunde der besonders in den letzten Jahren vermehrt auftretenden Forderung, sich für ihre Jagdpraxis ethisch und theologisch zu rechtfertigen, untersucht diese wissenschaftliche Arbeit, ob und wie die Jagd und das damit verbundene Töten von Wildtieren in deutschen Revieren aus einer theologisch-ethischen Perspektive gerechtfertigt sein kann. Dafür wird im Verlauf dieser Arbeit zunächst überprüft, wo und in welchem Zusammenhang Tiere in der Bibel vorkommen und welcher Stellenwert ihnen dabei eingeräumt wird. Anschließend wird überprüft, wie das Thema Jagd in der Bibel aufgegriffen wird, bevor die Verbindungen zwischen der Jagd und der Kirche aufgezeigt werden, sodass die Bedeutsamkeit der Thematik deutlich wird. Nachdem die Relevanz aufgezeigt wurde, werden die tiertheologisch-tierethischen Positionen von Simone Horstmann und David L. Clough, die mitprägend für die aktuellen Diskurse in diesem Themenbereich sind, dar- und gegenübergestellt. Abschließend wird aus den beiden Positionen abgeleitet, wie eine theologisch-ethisch vertretbare Jagdpraxis in Deutschland aussehen könnte. Diese wissenschaftliche Arbeit ist dabei aus der Perspektive eines Jägers verfasst, der im späteren Verlauf auch seine eigene Jagdpraxis wiedergibt.
