About the Author: Thomas Ault, through his "Jake" series, has introduced children to insects, birds, animals, reptiles and other fascinating critters of the animal world. He has also written two fictional history books, one police detective novel, and two new detective series books introducing Deavereau to the detective fans everywhere, one poetry and one brief book of short stories. He has been fortunate enough to travel to many parts of the world, and has lived in ten of our beautiful United States states. He was born in Council Bluffs, Iowa, and has lived, since that time, in Nebraska, Louisiana, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Ohio, Florida, Illinois, Alabama and Missouri. While being involved in sales management, credit and operation, and a few other occupations he has alway been involved in writing that dates back to his high school days. Other than technical works, his writing took bloom during the last 17 years. He has brief stints in writing in Inverness Florida with a local newspaper, in Guntersville, Alabama with a local newspaper and also with the Retired Senior Service Program as a photographer and brief period as a writing educator. He currently enjoys writing, working in his workshop, and a part-time job which he enjoys as a diversion from his self-assigned work load. His family has grown from its beginning with his first wife, who passed away with cancer, his current wife, two sons and their wives, one step son, one step-daughter and her husband, two grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, six great grand children, three dogs, and one kitten.
