Born in New York City but raised in Salisbury, North Carolina, she graduated from North Carolina State University with dual degrees in business management and economics. She then went on to earn her master's degree from The New School for Social Research in New York, New York.
Miller currently lives in Pennsylvania, where she enjoys reading, traveling, arts and crafts, and genealogy.
