About the Author: Studium der Ökonomie an den Universitäten Saarbrücken und Bremen. Zaghafte Versuche einer gesellschaftskritischen Ökonomie. 1975 Diplomarbeit zur Problematik der einseitigen quantitativen Sozialproduktberechnung. Erste Auseinan-dersetzung mit den Grenzen des Wachstums und der Messung der Lebensqualität.1978 Promotion in Bremen zur objektiven Wertlehre. Studien zu den Fragen: Was bestimmt den Wert? Was kann im ökonomischen Sinne als wertvoll be-zeichnet werden? Ist das ökonomische System in sich langfristig sinnvoll stabili-sierbar? Wie verändert die Wirtschaftskonzentration die Wertbildung und den technischen Fortschritt? Von 1975 bis 1979 Dozent im Rahmen des Bremer Bildungsurlaubsgesetzes. Ab 1979 Hochschulassistent an der Universität Oldenburg. 1981 bis 1983 Grün-dungsmitglied der Ökonomischen Fakultät an der Privatuniversität Wit-ten/Herdecke im Rahmen des Instituts für soziale Gegenwartsfragen, Freiburg. Erste theoretische Kontakte mit der Frage einer zukünftigen Ökonomie, die über eine rein gesellschaftskritische Position hinausgeht. 1987 Habilitation an der Universität Oldenburg zur Wirtschaftslehre des deut-schen Faschismus. Theoretische Überlegungen zum Thema Ökonomie und Ideologie. Auseinandersetzung mit der Instrumentalisierung der Dogmengeschichte. Venia Legendi: Politische Wirtschaftslehre und ihre Didaktik. Ab 1987 fortlau-fend Privatdozent an der Universität Oldenburg. Ab 2000 Professor für Wirtschaftspädagogik an der TU Chemnitz. Hochschul-lehrer an den Universitäten Bremen, Mannheim, Duisburg/Essen, Flensburg, Siegen und der PH Karlsruhe. Veröffentlichungen zu 'Menschenbilder in der Ökonomie' (1994), 'Kontroversen der Ordnungspolitik', 'Ökonomisches Wissen zwischen Bildungstheorie und Pragmatismus' (2006) und, Unkonventionelle Zugänge zur Ökonomie' (2019). 2015 Beendigung der Hochschullehrertätigkeiten und nur noch freier wissenschaftlicher Schriftsteller.
