About the Book

Everybody has dreams and Kamillion and Johnny were no different. They were two people from the Midwest who had lingered too long in the frozen tundra called Wisconsin. Kamillion wanted to be the next big actress in Hollywood. For her it was not enough just to be well known because she wanted to be the first Black actress nominated for an Oscar in the best actress category which had not been achieved yet. Johnny on the other hand wanted to be a professional singer bigger than Prince or Michael Jackson. He wanted his music to have a life of its own that transcended different genres of music. Their desires and dreams would take them on an adventure right out of the gate that would lead them down the road of romance, murder and mystery. Follow them as they traverse the streets and byways of life in Hollywood seeking their dreams and passions of "making it". Get caught up in the lifestyle and mindset of the people crossing their paths and becoming a part of their lives whether they want them to or not. See who survives and who doesn't. It's a love story but not a fairytale. It will definitely keep you guessing, laughing and even make you angry at times. It may even bring tears so enjoy the ride.
About the Author: Connie Donné comes from a long line of storytellers. Her childhood was embellished by Friday and Saturday night stories as told to her and other children of the family by aunts and uncles. Of course we can't forget grandpapa affectionately referred to as Papa who told some of the best and scariest ghost stories around and swore they were all true. It was her impression that all kids grew up that way and was very surprised that it was not the norm in most families. When she was in her twenties and with kids of her own, she wanted to carry on this rich tradition but found it to be less acceptable so she starting writing stories to carry on her own tradition and encouraging her children the joy and pleasure of a good story. Now she would like to share her gift with the world. A good story should take one away for that short period of time to escape to a world of wonderful fiction.
