About the Author: El Dr. Kaplan es profesor de Medicina Interna en la Universidad de Texas Southwestern Medical Center en Dallas, donde lleva más de 40 años. Durante los últimos 30, su enseñanza, labor de escritura e investigación se han centrado fundamentalmente en los aspectos clínicos de la hipertensión. Ha dado numerosas conferencias y ha contribuido con más de 500 documentos a la literatura médica.
