About the Author: I don't know if you're going to believe this, but it's true! I grew up loving the outdoors and the old west. I've been attacked by a mountain lion, met a bear face to face with only a bow and arrow and grabbed a four-point buck by the horns and wrestled him to the ground. I've hunted world class elk, watched mountain goats on Utah's highest peaks and rode horses on the Great Western Trail. I've explored ghost towns, searched for lost Spanish gold and Blackhawk Indian War battle sites. I've also had long discussions with Butch Cassidy's nephew about his uncle, local history and incredible finds. In my early years, I grew up in in my parents coffee shop and service station. I listened to stories of hunters, ranchers and fisherermen and got where I could tell a story with the best of them. I rode horses, played baseball, worked a farm and spent every spare second hunting and fishing. I later served in the Sheriff's Search and Rescue squad for 17 years. I also worked in radio, wrote for newspapers and had a column in national outdoor magazine. You could say I truly lived the adventure! I recently started writing and performed cowboy poetry and two other novels and a western kids book in the works. I currently live in Richfield, Utah and am so thankful and blessed to live and love southern Utah.
