About the Author: Richard D. Jacques earned his PhD in communication disorders and sciences with an emphasis on neurological conditions from Bowling Green State University in Ohio.
For more than two decades, he worked as a researcher, teacher, and clinical supervisor at the University of Missouri-Columbia and Eastern Illinois University. During his career he was nominated by his students and received the Faculty Excellence Award for Teaching.
He is currently retired and lives in Flagstaff, Arizona.
