About the Book

Kile is distraught at the death of his fiancee, and runs to the arms of her roommate Abbey and decides to stay with his basketball team the Cleveland Calipers of the International Basketball Assosciation rather than opting out and signing iwht a California team as he had planned with Abbey. This enables him to stay with his buddy, LeDodge who is the controversial superstar of the league. Wally is promoted to player-coach as the Cals drive to another title. Kile, who was identified as the Second Coming by Johnny, a Cals assistant in the previous novel, interfaces with the Christian clergy worldwide using the Olympic exhibition tour as a vehicle to propel his mission on earth.
About the Author: I am a former substitute teacher and sports writer in the Akron area. Kile at Large is a sequel to Sleazeball which was inspired by the 2013 NBA play-offs. It ended tragically, in the sequel, Kile picks up after his fiancée, Ashley, is killed in a traffic accident by getting involved with her college roommate, Abbey. A parody, it also involves Kile's spiritual journey which began with cataclysmic events in the first novel where he was identified by his assistant coach Johnny and he communes with worldwide leaders of the Christian clergy during the Olympic exhibition tour with his friend and teammate, LaDodge, also from the Cleveland professional team, and it explores his religious beginnings as well as two romances, both interracial, as well as the sexual escapades of LD. The first novel was inspired by conversations I had with a former girls high school basketball player who I knew from her job at a local mall. The second novel is a continuation of the basketball campaign with more of a spiritual twist along with a new tragedy involving another teammate who is now a player-coach who had been a mentor to Kile and Ashley about the California region where they were planning to relocate. All the events are true, but some are metaphors, or have been altered as far as identification, even the religious miracles which involves a person who actually exists and is familiar to Hollywood and international producers as well as the news media. Books and songs have been written about this individual, as well as movie and television manuscripts and while his identity can't be revealed, his life was the basis for many vehicles in such a way as readily identifiable.
