About the Book

There are certain individuals that just need to feel they have the power to control and manipulate others, treating them as if they are nothing more than puppets on strings; and with absolutely no regard for their welfare and safety, or their very lives. In many of these individuals the traits of the psychopath are clearly demonstrated and, yet, others are willing to blindly follow such men and women in spite of the antisocial behaviour being displayed; to the detriment of others.

The traits and characteristics of the sociopath and psychopath were quite easily noted and displayed by one Horst Tobias Hiedler-Prophet, Apostle, and Member of the Governing Body for the Church of the Living God (CLG)-the pastor for the Ephraim CLG, located in rural Ontario, Canada. The man was almost textbook and, yet, he made himself a champion for alleged rights and freedoms using those same psychopathic behaviours, dragging down many thousands locally, and adversely influencing many millions worldwide.

The Mayo Clinic defines psychopathy as: "A mental condition in which a person consistently shows no regard for right and wrong, and ignores the rights and feelings of others. People with antisocial personality disorder tend to antagonize, manipulate or treat others harshly or with callous indifference. They show no guilt or remorse for their behaviour."

The COVID-19 pandemic provided Pastor Hiedler with the very means to display his psychopathic behaviour to the public and, in so doing, gather a large following of like-minded anarchists that would provide him with the attention and fame and power he had longed for since his early days as a young man in Argentina.
Within a year of arriving in Canada, via the Mennonite Marijuana trade, a very dangerous Horst Tobias Hiedler was deeply embedded within the Church of the Living God, just waiting to make his mark and name known. It would soon be known, perhaps to his detriment. For a man of God, his lack of love for his fellow man was far too evident proving he was anything but a man of God.

Born in Ontario to simple people-a mother who was a religious fanatic belonging to a cult well established across the globe for bringing the Truth to the world, and a father who made his living as a long haul driver-Richard Telford would have been an unlikely candidate for being viewed as exceptional. He was that and more. Even after being recognized as one of the elite few that were, indeed, special, it was still hard to conceive of a world where a man like Horst Hiedler, and a man like Richard Telford would ever cross paths and have any influence on each other's' lives. The path that led those two men to entangling their lives together would be devastating for both. COVID-19 would bring the catastrophic collision with all the explosive power of a global nuclear war.

And as the end neared, surely Horst Tobias Hiedler would have heard the words of Matthew 7:21-23 shouted in his ears. But would he listen and heed the warning? "Not everyone who says to Me, 'Lord, Lord, ' shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?' And the I will declare to them, 'I never knew you; depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness.?'"

Killing In The Name Of COVID is a basic good versus evil story, with many a twist and turn and poignant analysis of the world changed by a virus, and a the madness and hatred that resulted due to the actions of so few. The reason for such a book ever being written is made clear as the author, for the first time in his 50 plus years of writing, offers the reader a glimpse into the background that lead him to pen such a profound novel.
