About the Author: Kelly Marre holds both an associate and bachelor degree in human services from the University of Alaska. Marre has received numerous volunteer awards including: the 2003 Greater Wasilla Chamber of Commerce Citizen of the Year award and the 2001 Volunteer Service Award for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. She was nominated twice for the Governor's First Lady Volunteer Award.
Marre most recently worked as an adult probation officer. Prior to being a PO, she worked as an advocate and crisis intervention coordinator for victims of domestic violence and sexual assault.
Originally from Indiana, Marre moved to Wasilla, Alaska in 1983. She is married to her husband, Patrick. Together they have: Logan, Casey, Meghan, daughter-in-law, Kelsey, and son-in-law, Kirk, as well as two adored granddaughters, Olivienne and Ailynn.
