Was und wie lesen heutige 10- bis 12jährige Schulkinder? Warum begeistern sie sich immer noch mehr für ihre Freizeitlektüre als für die Schulbücher? About the Author: Der Autor: Urbain N'Dakon, Jahrgang 1964, hat an der Universität Abidjan (Elfenbeinküste) zuerst Germanistik studiert und anschließend ein Aufbaustudium in Angewandter Psychologie absolviert. Von 1987 bis 1993 arbeitete er als Berufsberater und Deutschlehrer für die gymnasiale Oberstufe in Agboville und Abidjan. 1993 erhielt er für sein Forschungsprojekt zur literarischen Rezeption bei jungen Lesern (am Beispiel des Romans «Vorstadtkrokodile») ein Promotionsstipendium des Deutschen Akademischen Austauschdienstes (DAAD). Diese Untersuchung wurde am Lehrstuhl für Deutschdidaktik und Neuere Deutsche Literaturwissenschaft der Universität Bayreuth unter der Betreuung von Professor Walter Gebhard verfaßt und von der Sprach- und Literaturwissenschaftlichen Fakultät als Dissertation angenommen.
