Welches Dorf im gesamten Taunus kann von sich behaupten, im Laufe seiner über 1000-jährigen Geschichte, mit gleich sechs Bischöfen in direkter Verbindung gestanden zu haben? -"SCHLOSSBORN"- Das Dorf, welches um 985 vom heiligen Willigis, dem Mainzer Erzbischof und Reichskanzler unter den Ottonen, für die Verbreitung des Christentums im Taunus auserwählt wurde. Schloßborn und seine großen, von Willigis festgelegten Sprengelgrenzen, weckten Begehrlichkeiten unter den Herren von Eppstein, Idstein und Hattstein. Es kam zu vielen Fehden in deren Folge Schloßborn, im 14. und 15. Jahrhundert, zu einer riesigen Festung mit Schloss und Ringmauer ausgebaut wurde. Einer Ringmauer mit 7 je 16m hohen Türmen und einem Doppelturmtor. - Doch gegen Gustav II. Adolf von Schweden und sein Kriegsheer, welche Schloßborn und Königstein an Weihnachten 1631 heimsuchten, waren auch diese Mauern machtlos. - Das vorliegende Buch versucht die wichtigsten Geschehnisse aus über 1000 Jahren Schloßborner Geschichte chronologisch gebündelt zu bewahren. Auch der Sprache der Schloßborner Bevölkerung wurde ein Kapitel gewidmet, sodass ein Gesamtüberblick geschaffen werden konnte. Ein Nachschlagewerk für Jung und Alt.
About the Author: Der Autor ist Jahrgang 1967, verheiratet, hat 2 Kinder und lebt seit Geburt in Schloßborn im schönen Taunus. Er ist seit 27 Jahren Tischlermeister und führt seit 25 Jahren einen eigenen Schreinereibetrieb in Selters/Ts. In dieser Zeit gelang es ihm, zehn Jugendliche zu einem erfolgreichen Ausbildungsabschluss zu führen. Außerdem engagiert er sich ehrenamtlich im Vorstand des Heimat- und Geschichtsvereins Schloßborn, hält dort u.a. Vorträge für Schulklassen und interessierte Erwachsene über Schloßborns Historie. "Das Interesse für Schloßborn und seine Vergangenheit wurde mir in die Wiege gelegt. Schon meine Großeltern erzählten mir Geschichten über Willigis und Bardo, natürlich im Borner Dialekt." Nach der Veröffentlichung seines ersten Buches "Des Bischofs Kirche im Wald", entstanden zahlreiche neue Kontakte, die zwangsläufig zu einem zweiten Buch führen mussten.
