About the Book

When she was human, she was a witch with powers so great they had to be bound to the moon. Only on the full moon could she access all of her power, but that didn't mean she was powerless on the moon. No. She was trained in the art of combat, in every weapon and fighting style her guardian and trainers knew. Now she was a vampire. She was stronger, faster with even more power. What no one knew was that she still had the power she had when she was a witch. Most theorized that she lost the power when she turned into a vampire, due to her being weak and dying when she was turned. She had no reason to use that power, so she let them keep thinking that. Since Jania protected the humans, those who knew of her called her La Guardiana, the guardian. She protected humans from vampires that killed for the pleasure of it and from the ones that lost themselves in bloodlust and didn't know how to come back from it, and even from a fledgling that someone turned and abandoned who never was trained to control his or her hunger. She was in charge of making sure that their world of darkness stayed hidden to the humans and the humans who did know never betrayed their secret. If they did, she would have ordered from the vampire leader to hunt them down. They were humanity's shield against the others like them, but who had abandoned their sanity or had given in to their hunger and bloodlust. However, now an old enemy of the one who turned her was threatening her descendants, the Croes coven. She wouldn't stand for it. After the second attack, she decided to hunt and destroy said enemy, herself, even if her creator couldn't do it. He had died at the hands of this enemy a few years back, in a surprise attack. Join her as she walks the path of war, a war between vampires. Her creator's old enemy and the one who killed him, the one who was threatening her family, Rosalinda and her clan, versus her, a vampire clan head of vampires of the West Indies, protector of humanity, Jardynia, better known as Jania. She was joined by her descendants and a few of her clansmen and a human girl who also walked the path of war for her own personal revenge. She was a huntress, a human she saved when she was a baby. She was a self-taught warrior. She would show Rosalinda why it wasn't a good idea to attack what she considered hers. She would defend what was hers, even if it meant her life.
