L'argent, par sa nature même, est un droit à la richesse, et les gens détiennent de l'argent, l'équivalent d'un reçu pour la détention de richesse. Qu'est-ce que la richesse ? La forme de richesse utilisée pour émettre de la monnaie en tant que garantie détermine la nature de la monnaie. La forme de richesse la plus largement acceptée est la monnaie. La richesse, mais aussi la monnaie, est le fruit du travail humain. La propriété des biens communs est, par essence, la propriété du travail. Au cours des 5 000 ans de civilisation humaine, plus de 2 000 marchandises ont joué le rôle de monnaie, et le marché a évolué pour éliminer progressivement les autres monnaies, pour finalement choisir l'or et l'argent comme représentants ultimes de la richesse. Quelle que soit la région, quelle que soit la civilisation, quelle que soit la religion, l'or et l'argent ont formé la monnaie comme la forme de richesse la plus largement acceptée. À cette époque, l'or et l'argent sont à la fois la revendication de la richesse et la richesse elle-même.


Même si les gens ont progressivement oublié l'or qui se cache derrière les reçus en papier-monnaie au cours du long processus de lavage de cerveau, l'or, après tout, limite l'émission excessive de reçus, car lorsqu'il y a trop de reçus, tôt ou tard, les gens s'intéressent à l'or que ces reçus peuvent revendiquer.
