En las siete historias de Laberintos, los personajes se aproximan por la extrañeza y la dificultad de adaptación al entorno. Son el reflejo de los problemas contemporáneos de la sociedad: la soledad, la depresión, la inseguridad, la búsqueda de la identidad, la pérdida de la memoria, la frustración y, como no podía faltar, la esperanza de ser feliz.

Cada uno de los personajes de estos cuentos viven sus mundos, sus locuras, sus necesidades, sus sueños y sus conflictos de diferentes maneras, como si fuera la última oportunidad que tuvieran para encontrarse con ellos mismos.

Los personajes de los siete cuentos caminan sin saber que lo hacen en medio de laberintos: calles y encrucijadas que los confunden y los atrapan en sucesos fatales de la vida real profundamente conmovedores.

Los cuentos seleccionados para este libro fueron escritos entre 1983 y 2017, cada uno de ellos con su propio estilo narrativo.

La tía Clotilde (2016). Medio siglo después de la muerte de la tía Clotilde, ella aún perturba la memoria de los vivos y de los muertos. Un cuento en el mejor estilo del realismo mágico latinoamericano.

El asesino de la "boutique" (1983) le lleva al lector por la frontera frágil de la cordura y la locura de su protagonista.
Los hombres-pájaro (2016) es una historia de amor y locura desde el punto de vista narrativo de un niño, quien pierde su hogar sin entender la realidad que le rodea.

...y cerró la puerta (2017) retrata por medio de metáforas y un lenguaje lírico tres grandes males del siglo veintiuno: la pérdida de la identidad, la depresión y la ansiedad.

En una fría mañana de nieve (2018) es una historia poética paradójicamente triste y dulce sobre el hallazgo y la pérdida de los sueños inocentes de los niños.

El laberinto (1999) es una metáfora angustiante sobre la individualidad, la pertenencia y la búsqueda de la identidad en la vida cotidiana dentro de una gran urbe.

San Patricio (1985) es un cuento de terror sobre la pérdida de las ilusiones y la impotencia para vencer la frustración.

Aunque cada historia es independiente y retrata épocas y situaciones diferentes, los personajes tienen un eje en común: los laberintos, las encrucijadas de la vida, la tragedia como una forma de afrontar "el dolor de la existencia".
