Shar Levine is an award-winning, best-selling Canadian children's author based in Vancouver, BC. Shar has written over 55 books and book/kits, primarily on hands-on science for children. Levine, and her co-author, Leslie Johnstone, were co-recipients of the Eve Savory Award for Science Communication from the B.C. Innovation Council (2006) and their book, Backyard Science, was a finalist for the Subaru Award, from the American Association for the Advancement of Science, Science Books and Films (2005).
Leslie Johnstone has completed her Masters in Education specializing in Curriculum Development and she is the Department Head of Science at a large high school in Vancouver.
