L?anneau d?argent raconte une histoire que les tabous sociaux et les discriminations de classe semblent avoir rendu impossible dans le corps social haïtien. La magie de l?écriture de Jean-Frantz Gation, mélangeant subtilement la sincérité artistique des deux langues les plus couramment utilisées dans la communication quotidienne en Haïti, le français et le créole, rend cette fiction haïtienne plus ou moins acceptable. Le conflit traditionnel entre deux personnages qui constitue généralement le point de départ de la majorité des récits survient ici entre le couple et la société. Je ne vous dirai pas qui est sorti vainqueur de cette lutte dont les enjeux revêtent un particularisme spécial en Haïti. Vous le découvrirez vous-même en lisant ce roman discret, chargé de sensibilité et unique dans la littérature de la diaspora haïtienne d?expression française.
