About the Book

Since the dawn of man, all of our species have questioned their existence. Everyone at one point in time has wondered whether or not they are alone in the Universe. The reality of the matter is that we are not. We are merely a pawn in the grand scheme of things. Humanity happens to be playing right into ancient lore dating back over three Universe Cycles. Now you must understand that each cycle lasts over a googolplex. Also, only one species has survived each cycle thus far. Meaning we have three ancient species currently residing in our Universe. Those species (in chronological order) are the Judex Sapiens, the Sagacians, and the Malentians. Now the Judex Sapiens and the Sagacians work together. The Malentians, however, work towards annihilation. Their main goal is to destroy anything the other species has created. But they have to be subtle about such ordeals. Lest they be caught in the act. In order to retain obscurity, the Malentians plant directives into their target's DNA. Directives of evil that slowly blossom over time and evolve into naught but one thing: self-annihilation on a grand scale. All of which occurs on a little blue sphere we like to call Earth. Before the war that ends humanity's dominant reign over Earth, times are tumultuous to say the very least. With the fraudulent election of President Venalis Proditor, the Republic does not stand a chance. Because after his election, a powder keg of chaos erupts in the torn nation and a rebellion forms to overthrow the US government. However, what the rebels fail to foresee is that Proditor has been in alliance with the corrupt United Nations. Who, in turn, combine forces with the NATO troops and stage a war on American soil. With the use of advanced nanobiotechnology, the invading forces trigger the beginning of the end of humanity. There are survivors of the attack though. The Sagacians being the ones to warn a select few humans of a barrier-inducing pendant located in Yellowstone National Park. Saving humanity from its demise. The pendant was placed there in order to save humanity from the supervolcano hiding underneath it. But instead of saving humanity from a natural disaster, the barrier saves them from naught but themselves. Irony does not even begin to touch the surface of such fates. For this was all predestined. After the war ends, the surviving humans pull together and flourish for the first few years. Although they are plagued with fear and anxiety, the survivors find peace in the settlement they form in Lander, Wyoming. They effectively utilize the lands to their benefit and humanity begins to prosper once more. There is only one thing though: evil always seems to manifest itself in the deepest recesses of the human mind. Such being due to the Malentians' evil protocols that were instilled hundreds of thousands of years ago in the first hominins. So, what was once peace and prosperity soon evolves into fear and chaos. Two factions soon form out of the mess. Those being The Order, whose sinister leaders (the Top Three) control the populace with fear, and The Stigmata, whose leaders (the Elders) allow their followers to live freely and do as they please. The Order is left to sustain its ever-growing entropy at the settlement at Fiddlers Lake. Where they have naught but archaic tools and supplies to live on. Meanwhile, The Stigmata flourishes inside a secret bunker hidden inside of Mount Chauvenet, which has all of the advanced technology mankind had acquired prior to the war. Needless to say, one lives better than the other. A fact that shows after The Great Mutiny from Fiddlers Lake. An event where thousands of survivors flee The Order to join The Stigmata. Three quarters of The Order's citizens flee their chains of oppression and begin anew within the Stigmata's cavernous civilization. All of whom are educated and trained to their fullest. As to have an entire colony of intelligent citizens prepared for any sort of extinction event that may trans
About the Author: Patrick Bedont Jr. is a simple man that hails from a small town in southwestern Pennsylvania. Being birthed into a poor family showed Patrick that hard work and dedication will only get you so far. For it is all about who you know in today's economic climate that will get you anywhere. Else you are destined for a life of slavery. Slaving for the corporations for mediocre wages that slowly decline over the years as inflation runs rampant in a world economy that consists of naught but valueless fiat currencies. No longer can a family get by with one sole provider. Those days are long gone. Instead, both parents have to work to just barely make ends meet. Such truths have effectively transformed humanity into generations of wage slaves yet again. By forgetting history, we have repeated it. We have let a select bunch of humans degenerate our species back to the days of the fall of Ancient Rome. Just like back then, all we have to rely on is what little hope we have left in a system that has rewarded naught but the wealthy to somehow reverse such trends. Never will these men reverse the atrocities they wreak on mankind as long as they are endlessly filling their pockets with currencies on our behalf. Sure, the idea of trickle-down economics sounds good on paper. But when the wealth is left in the hands of the greedy corrupt, there is little we as citizens can do except hope our elected officials do what we elected them to do: represent us. Something that does not look like it will start happening any time soon. At least not with the bribes disguised as campaign contributions flowing through our corrupted system. As well as the unlimited terms that create government lifers that get to retire on the taxpayer dime after spending a lifetime fucking them over. Patrick is afraid that if we do not take drastic measures, our species does not stand much of a chance on this blessed sphere much longer. That is why he started writing the fantasy series titled, 'The Last Mutineers'. Writing in the simple hopes that, through the power of literature and imagination, perhaps he will be able to persuade his fellow Americans into changing their despondent ways and show them there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Because even with such an oppressive government towering over our nation, we still have the entire world's knowledge at our fingertips. Just imagine if people used it to their advantage instead of using it for trolling others on social media.
