About the Book

How would you like to lead a group of people that you did not want to lead in a task for which you did not volunteer? Welcome to the life of Moses. By birth, Moses should have been raised as a slave. Instead, he is raised in privilege in the most powerful household in Egypt. At the age of eighty, he returns to Egypt to lead the Israelites to the Promised Land.

This book explores the leadership lessons we learn from the life of Moses. These include ...

  • How to overcome reluctance to become a great leader.
  • What a leader sees that others may not see.
  • The power of optimism.
  • Why you need a compass when it comes to conflict.
  • The compassion a leader must feel for those he leads.
  • How to develop the ability to listen to God.
  • How to develop the ability to listen to wise counsel.
  • The importance of developing future leaders.
  • Why good leaders never quit.
Each chapter includes reflection and discussion questions to be used individually or as a team.

AMAZON REVIEW

"While I went through this on my own, it was clear that the value of this book is achieved by reading and discussing this with a group. This is an excellent book for any small group. The leadership characteristics will be better processed with the discussion and the learnings of others. A small group will also add value in helping to develop and or strengthen them."

-- Thomas M. Loarie (Chairman and CEO Mercator MedSystems and a Trustee of the Graduate Theological Union at the University of California, Berkeley)
